Wow, Fox Run Stables has had a fun filled busy summer so far. In June we attended another hunter/Jumper show in St. Louis at Ridgefield Arena and all of our competitors did very well. We took home a lot of ribbons and had a wonderful time!

June kept us busy teaching visiting grandkids and several new students who live in the area all about horses. It is always fun to see the kids return each year all excited to be back at the barn grooming and riding their favorite horses. SugarPie, Buttercup, Mercedes, Puff and Prissy had a great time renewing old friendships. All the returning visitors got to learn first canter this summer!!! It was awesome to see it all coming together, heels down, eyes forward, hands in the box, outside leg, and inside rein, plus my personal favorite SIT DOWN when you ask for the canter. WOOO HOOO!!!!

July took us to another show. This one was in Marion, Illinois and was closer so we only went for day. It was very eventful!!! We had two new competitors showing as part of the Fox Run Riding Team. Jackie and Sydney!!! Not only was it their first time showing for Fox Run, it was their first time showing!!! Jackie won a Championship ribbon on Mercedes and Sydney took home the Reserve champion ribbon in the poles division! We were so proud of them both. Ella won a second place ribbon on Baby in the flat class and Breaunna took home a first on Gracie in the flat class undersaddle. Unfortunately Andrew was too busy trying to hang on to the green ponies over the jumps to place. He was awesome to watch and received many compliments from the other trainers though! Kudos to Andrew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our next show is schedule for August 28th at Marion Il again. The weekend of October 2nd will have us showing at Dublin Farms in St Louis. We all love going to Dublin and visiting with our buddy Boo!
