Running Fox Run Farm requires lots of time and energy, especially from our horses! They do most of the work. Teaching people how to ride is a big job. Matching the right horse with the right rider is our specialty. Each horse has their own unique personality. Some of our horses are sweet and shy while others are full of playful energy. When deciding which horse to mount our riders on, we first like to get know our students and their level of experience. Next we pair them with a horse that will safely complement their personality and skill.

Sugar Pie Honey Bunch is a buckskin colored ½ quarter horse ½ Tennessee walker. Her gait is smooth and her personality is very quiet. She loves to trail ride, jump, and eat!! A beginner or experienced rider makes her happy.


Prissy is a gorgeous black Tennessee Walker who loves to go fast! She jumps, goes on trail rides, and loves little girls who like to groom. She hates to just hang around. Having an active confident rider makes her day!


Mercedes is a grey thoroughbred mare with a lot of experience doing a variety of jobs. She has been a show horse, a lesson horse, and even a search and rescue horse, helping to find lost people. Definitely a barn sweetie who will take a rider as far as they want to go!

Puff Daddy is a fancy welsh pony with tons of experience teaching younger kids the art of horsemanship. With his willing attitude and easygoing personality, everyone who rides him falls in love. If you want to show, trail ride, jump, or just love on him, Puff is your pony!!

She’s So Pretty (Puff Momma) is a grey welsh mare who has an impressive show record and is currently pregnant with Puff Baby, due in the Spring of 2010. We will continue to enjoy riding her lightly for exercise until she gets further along.

Blue James Blue is our grey 3 year old out of the famous pony stallion named Blue Rain. He has a laid back attitude and rocking chair canter for anyone who likes to ride young ones. He also likes to nuzzle people and eat treats.


Baby Blue is also 3 years old and is the half brother to Blue James Blue. His chestnut coloring and white blaze make for a beautiful pony. He is eager to please and willing to learn with a “can do” personality. He and James will be learning to jump and show this Spring.

No Regret is nicknamed “El Diablo” because he is so sweet, calm and gentle. As a 5 y/o at 15,3’ hands, this black thoroughbred has great potential. He loves to jump, but requires a lot of leg as he tends to be very mellow. He is always looking for a treat!


Code Blue (Cody) is a cute cute cute gelding! Just a little over one year old, he shows great promise. He is skittish, so a calm natured person will really help him get comfortable around people.


Son of a Blue (Sonny) is an outgoing, great looking one year old gelding with a loving personality. Be prepared to pet him a long time once you get started.



Buttercup is a seasoned quarter horse. She is the oldest in years (at 28), but the youngest at heart. She is a favorite among students as she does well with both Western and English riders who love to get up and go!


Jackie O’Blue is our newest edition was born April 28th 2010 at 4:45 am. She is a darling girl (filly) with a friendly personality. She loves kids and treats! Soon she will lose her brown baby hair and be mostly gray before turning all gray (white) like her mother.

Buster is a really cute gelding pony is on loan to Fox Run from SuAnne! He is a real favorite around here with the all the barn kids. He love love loves to be groomed. He is also fun to ride. A great pony for teaching basic skills to littler riders!!

Chief is a gated horse on loan to us from one of our young riders because he is so sweet! He is a fox trotter. He is great for all ages because he is very patient and kind. His ride is really smooth and a good choice for beginners or others who don’t want to post the trot!!!!! A Cadillac ride for sure is our newest four legged friend, Chief.

Blue Grace (Gracie) is a three year old sorrel mare with a gorgeous flaxen mane and tail. She is the half sister of Blue James Blue and Baby Blue. Her sweet nature will steal your heart! She loves to be groomed and will be jumping and showing alongside her brothers this spring.
